Wednesday, May 17, 2017 - Thursday, May 18, 2017
WEDNESDAY, MAY 17
9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Please join us for a day visiting local shops and historic areas for inspiration as well as shopping. Multiple buses depart from and return to the front of the convention center. Price includes transportation, all entrance and/or entertainment fees, lunch, and tour guide. Additional buses for each tour will take an alternate route, but visit all the same locations.
100. ST. CHARLES SHOPPING AND QUILTS TOUR $110
Visit St. Charles, the oldest town on the Missouri River—carefully preserved and the site of many
historical events. Enjoy a stop at The Quilted Cottage, a restored historic home now featuring a wealth
of reproduction fabrics, patterns, books, and hand-dyed wool, then explore at your leisure a multitude
of one-of-a-kind shops! Browse framed art, antiques, and collectibles in the area or visit Missouri’s
first State Capitol or the Lewis & Clark Nature Center. Reconvene for a seated lunch at the award-winning Victorian-style Mother-In-Law House. Save some energy for Jackman’s Fabrics, St. Louis’
largest fabric store.
THURSDAY, MAY 18
10:00 AM-6:00 PM
205. SCHOOLHOUSE SERIES $25
206. SCHOOLHOUSE SERIES WITH BOX LUNCH $48
WHAT? An exciting, information-filled forum for manufacturers, publishers, and retailers to present new products, techniques, and books to you. Spend an unhurried eight hours the day before Market opens rotating among class offerings.
Schoolhouse schedules are available to everyone two hours before Schoolhouse begins at the Schoolhouse check-in located in the Second Floor Atrium. At this time, you can outline your session preferences for the day. You will have the option to attend one presentation from a selection of more than 20 from the total of more than 200 classes offered each 15 or 30 minute interval. Sessions are held in individual classrooms.
Time is allowed for a lunch break in two shifts, if you choose. The Schoolhouse sessions scheduled for the “lunch break” will be repeated. Taking a lunch break to enjoy your box lunch will not cause you to miss any information.
WHY? Schoolhouse Series is dedicated to profitability through education. Schoolhouse is your opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge from those who make, design, or write about the products you want to sell. Learn easy-to-present formats for in-shop classes.
7:00 PM-9:00 PM
215. SAMPLE SPREE $15
Meet the exhibitors and get ideas for class projects and shop promotions. No luggage/rolling carts allowed in the room during Sample Spree! Please note: Sample Spree enrollment usually sells out because fire marshal regulations limit the number that can be enrolled. However, at 8 p.m. more people can be admitted as others leave. Pay at the door.
